The Young Entrepreneurs Fund
100% of the profits from every jar of Peelz Jam go to the Young Entrepreneurs Fund, which awards grants to young founders of startups in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
How it works
You buy a jar
Every 6 oz jar of Peelz jam is made by hand in a Palos Verdes home kitchen.
100% of profits go in
After ingredients and jars are paid for, every remaining dollar goes straight into the Fund.
A young founder gets a grant
Grants are awarded to South Bay students and teens to buy supplies, tools, or licenses for their first business.
Who we support
Grants go to founders under 20 who live or study in Southern California. We fund the small, unglamorous costs that stop a first business before it starts: ingredients, materials, a permit, a website, a market booth fee.
Want to start a coffee cart, a food truck, a clothing line, a music company, a tutoring business, a sports coaching business? Or you have no idea, but tons of entrepreneurial spirit? No problem! Come to our quarterly workshops where we teach young entrepreneurs the basics and give you a fountain of ideas.
Ready to apply? Simply fill out the form to provide your information - it should take no more than 30 minutes. Entries are judged by a professional jury every summer and at least $10,000 of grants are awarded thanks to Peelz Jams profits and our corporate sponsors.
